Construction of VUP
about project
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has undertaken the construction of two Vehicular Underpasses (VUPs) on the Agra–Etawah section of National Highway 19 (NH-19) in Uttar Pradesh, to enhance safety and streamline local and highway traffic.
Client’s Challenge
The client faced increasing traffic risks due to the absence of safe crossing points on NH-19. Local commuters struggled to cross the high-speed highway, leading to safety concerns, congestion, and delays. Rapid urbanization and tight timelines demanded a quick, reliable solution without disrupting existing traffic flow.
Our approach and solution
We designed and constructed two VUPs to ensure safe local movement beneath NH-19. Using efficient construction methods under EPC mode, we minimized disruption to highway traffic. Strict quality control, safety compliance, and timely execution were prioritized to meet project goals and improve regional connectivity.
result
The newly built VUPs now allow safe, uninterrupted movement for local traffic under NH-19 while maintaining highway efficiency. The project has reduced accident risks, improved connectivity for nearby villages and towns, and contributed to safer, smarter road infrastructure in the region.
